Charges:
Due to many styles and finishes, it is difficult to provide an estimate for you on the phone. We need to have the garment in our hands, see it, check the inside construction and also you wearing it. Our charges are based on time and an extimation of the final cost is always given before starting working at your project.

Available on request, 25% express charges apply
Summary of Terms and Conditions
Appointments
All fitting consultations are by appointment. Please remember to bring your shoes and well-fitted undergarments to ensure we can fit your garments well. It is essential to either keep to the appointed time or inform us of delays or cancellations. We reserve the right to charge for missed appointments if no notice or less than 24 hours’ notice is given for cancellations.
Consultation Fees
First consultation fee are free at our atelier or via web. Home consultations price is 700:- as fixed starting fee plus 700:- for each hour of consultations.
Alterations, Estimates and Pricing
Alteration charges are calculated by time. After your fitting consultation, you will receive a cost estimate. We discuss options and possibilities of how best to alter your garments for the best outcome.
Deposits and Payment
Before we start the alterations, we take a 50% deposit payment. Full payment is required at collection or before dispatch.
In case of made to measure garments, we take 50% deposit payment after the second appointment (once the fabric has been decided and needs to be bought).
Completion of Alterations
Alterations are normally completed within 1 or 2 weeks unless otherwise stated. We offer an express service for an additional 25% expresses charge. Express alterations need to be confirmed with the workroom beforehand.
Uncollected Items & Disposal
Please note any uncollected items may be sold or disposed of to cover our costs within six weeks of notice of collection, and/or a storage charge may be levied for late collections.
Insurance and Liability for Clothes
The company will take the utmost care of your clothes. All garments left with us are entirely at the owner’s risk. The company has insurance for garments in its possession to a maximum of £100 per item or £1,000 per customer.
The company cannot accept liability for clothes damaged whilst in the care of any third party – for example dry cleaners, invisible menders – who are engaged on your behalf. Their terms and conditions will automatically apply.
Work Specification and Defects
The fitter will prepare a detailed description for each garment, recording the customer’s measurements and garment alteration instructions (‘The Instructions’) agreed with you. After the fitting, you will receive a copy of the ‘The Instructions’ document. Upon completion of the work specified, the item will be quality controlled twice. If a garment is unacceptable to the customer due to the alterations not being carried out following ‘The Instructions’, we will rectify the work at our expense. We charge for additional alterations required to achieve an item’s best fit.
The customer is encouraged to try the garment and inspect it thoroughly for any defects in the collection appointment or when returned. However, we cannot accept responsibility for any further or remedial alterations connected to the original work more than 14 days after collection and final settlement.
